We at TechniSat Digital GmbH, Daun, Germany take the protection of your personal data very seriously. The following is provided to give you detailed information on how we handle your personal data. All legal provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force on May 25, 2018, and the updated version of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), as well as the German Telemedia Act (TMG) and other data protection regulations, will of course be observed.

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter the "data subject"). A natural person is considered to be an entity that can be directly or indirectly identified, in particular by association with an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or one or more specific features that express the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of this natural person.

  • Contact form

    If you fill out the contact form, the data you enter (address data, email address, message) will be used exclusively for the purpose of contacting you and will be deleted six months after you have entered it. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6 (1) (b) (Performance) of the European General Data Protection Regulation.

  • Product alert

    When registering for product alerts, the email address you provide will be used solely for the purpose of the product alert and will be deleted immediately after the product alert is sent. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6 (1) (a) (Consent) of the European General Data Protection Regulation.   • Newsletter registration

    If you subscribe to the newsletter, the data you provide (email address, optionally: address data) will be used for the purpose of sending advertising material and will be deleted from the system immediately if you unsubscribe. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6 (1) (a) (Consent) of the European General Data Protection Regulation.

  • Chat

    If you use our customer chat service, the data you provide (name, chat history) will only be used to record and process your request. The data will be deleted from the system after six months. The legal basis for processing is Article 6 (1) (a) (Consent) of the European General Data Protection Regulation.

  • Google Adwords Conversion Tracking

    Our website uses the Conversion Tracking function (evaluation of the target action performed by the user, e.g. placing an order for an item) from Google AdWords. To this end, provided you give your consent, a cookie will be stored on your computer which enables you to be recognised the next time you visit and your path through our site to be tracked. The data captured are transmitted to Google Servers in third countries where, in some cases, there is a lower level of data protection. The information gathered using the Conversion Cookie is used to create Conversion Statistics. This is how we discover the total number of users who have clicked on our advertisements. However, we do not obtain any information which could enable identifying users personally. The data are processed on the basis of Article 6 para. 1, letter a of the General Data Protection Regulation (your voluntary consent).

  • Google Maps

    You can search for a competent specialist dealer in your vicinity using our dealer search facility. Subject to your approval, the specialist dealers within a radius of the entered address that you can specify will be shown on a map in Google Maps. This will involve transferring your IP address, the date and time of the access, the accessed URL, your user behaviour on the map and the data entered for the search to Google. We will then erase this data immediately after the transfer has taken place. TechniSat has no influence on the subsequent processing. The data gathered will be transferred to Google servers in the USA. The level of data protection there is less than in the European Union. There is a risk that your data could be processed by the US authorities for checking and monitoring purposes without necessarily providing you with means of redress. The legal basis for this transfer is Article 6 Para. 1 letter a (your voluntary consent) of the European General Data Protection Regulation.

  • Facebook Pixel

    We are using “Facebook Pixel” on our website, a service by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (hereafter referred to as: “Facebook”). Facebook Pixel allows Facebook to show ads on Facebook, the so-called “Facebook-Ads” only to the Facebook users that were visitors of our website, especially to those visitors that have shown interest in our online service or in particular topics or products. Facebook Pixel allows to determine whether a user has been redirected to our website after having clicked on our Facebook ads. Facebook Pixel uses cookies, amongst others, that is, small text files that are stored locally in your browser’s cache on your terminal device. If you are logged in to Facebook with your user account, the visit of our website will be recorded in your user account. The data that have been collected about you remain anonymous to us and therefore do not give us any conclusions about the user’s identity. However, these data can be linked to your local user account by Facebook. We do not have any influence on the extent and the further use of the data that are collected by Facebook via Facebook Pixel. As far as we are aware, Facebook receives the information that you have visited the respective part of our website or clicked on one of our ads. In case you have a Facebook user account and you are registered, Facebook can associate the visit with your user account. Even if you are not registered to Facebook, or if you are not logged in, there is the possibility that Facebook gets to know your IP address as well as further identification features and stores them.

    We are using Facebook Pixel for marketing and optimization purposes, especially in order to show you relevant ads on Facebook and, thus, to improve our offer, to make it more interesting for you as a user and to avoid annoying ads. Therein lies our legitimate interest in processing the aforementioned data by the third party. The legal basis is Article 6 paragraph 1 letter a of the General Data Protection Regulation (your voluntary consent).

    You can object to the before mentioned collection of your data by Facebook Pixel and the use of your data by Facebook Ads. You can set which type of ads shall be displayed by Facebook on the following Facebook website: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads. Please be aware that this configuration is deleted as soon as you delete your cookies. Furthermore, you can deactivate the cookies that serve the purpose of range measurement and advertising purposes throughout the following websites:

    In addition, Facebook complies with the Privacy Shield Agreement between the European Union and the USA and is certified accordingly. As a result, Facebook is obliged to comply with the standards and regulations of the European data protection law.   • Information, cancellation and other rights:

    You can always obtain information about the data stored about you (Article 15 of the European General Data Protection Regulation). In addition, under the conditions laid down in Articles 16 to 21 of the European General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to correct and delete your data, and to restrict the processing and data portability of any data provided.

  • Appeals:

    You have the right to contact the company's data protection officer at any time should you have any complaints regarding the processing of your data. His/her contact details are stated above. In addition, you have the right to complain to any regulatory agency for privacy issues. The supervisory authority responsible for the company is stated above.

  • Revocation:

    If the processing of data is based on your consent, you may revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future. If the processing of data is based on our legitimate interest, you may object to this processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then process your data only if there are demonstrably compelling, legitimate reasons that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or if the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims.
