TechniSat DIGIT HD8-S “best in test”!

“AudioVideoFoto Bild”, the market leading magazine for home entertainment in Germany, conducted a group test of HDTV Receivers for issue 07/2009. The TechniSat Digit HD8-S received “good” (2,39) in the satellite STB category which was “best in test”.

The magazine was particularly impressed by the outstanding picture and sound quality – as well as the extra features such as the free EPG (available on Astra 19.2º E) and the AutoInstall function. In addition to achieving “best in test”, the TechniSat DIGIT HD8-S has received the “No Energy” award which is supported by the German Ministry of the Environment. This is in recognition of the industry leading low power consumption – typically 0.25 watts in standby.
About TechniSat´s DIGIT HD8-S
The Digit HD8-S is designed for the reception of Standard Definition digital TV and radio programmes as well as High Definition MPEG2/MPEG4 (H.264) channels. Pay TV is supported by the integrated smartcard and SIM card readers for the reception of CONAX encrypted programmes. Furthermore the device is equipped with two Common Interface slots for CA-modules from other Pay TV providers and other encryption standards.
Unrivalled functionality offering playback of movies, music and pictures from USB memory sticks, SD/MS/MMC cards, CompactFlash or a home networked PC via Ethernet or wirelessly using the optional USB WLAN Adaptor. Extending these features still further, the Digit HD-8 offers PVR functionality with the connection of an external hard drive via USB.
