TechniSat Hungary launches ultra-modern antenna production

29.07.2009

TechniSat Digital Kft. has commenced production of high quality TechniSat satellite antennas at its new ultra-modern production facility at Abasár/Budapest (Hungary).
TechniSat has been developing and producing high quality satellite antennas at various locations for the past 20 years. The objective of the investment in an ultra-modern production facility at Abasár/Budapest was to combine all these activities under a single roof. Following a planning and construction phase that lasted two years, the first “DigiDish 45” antenna was produced there on 7th July 2009.
Regular production can now be commenced, following a three-month test phase. The production of all TechniSat satellite dishes and brackets/mounts is to be transferred to the new factory over the next few months.
“The concentration of production at a new and ultra-modern production facility has meant a significant improvement in logistical processes, and provides for significant optimisation of the production flow. This means that in the long term we will continue to be able to provide products to our customers that combine high quality with an excellent value-for-money ratio, all at the level of quality they have become accustomed to from TechniSat“, comments Friedhelm Flamm, General Manager at TechniSat Digital GmbH.

Wide range of digital satellite antennas on offer
TechniSat is a pioneer of satellite reception, and has been present in the market for over 20 years, with a growing range of diverse products. In addition to digital set-top boxes, TV sets, PC cards and multiswitches, TechniSat develops and produces high quality digital satellite antennas from a diameter of 33 cm upwards, capable of supplying signals to one or more users, and of receiving one or more orbital positions simultaneously. The patented TechniSat Multytenne digital receiving unit, for example, is a satellite antenna with a diameter of only 45 cm, which allows the reception of digital TV and radio programmes from four(!) different orbital positions simultaneously. The positions are the popular satellite systems located at the following positions: EUTELSAT 13° East, ASTRA 19,2° East, ASTRA 23,5° East and ASTRA & Eurobird 28,5° East. Using the Multytenne to receive signals from these four orbital positions, viewers have access to more than 3,000 digital TV and radio programmes – and all without the need for an antenna motor.
Overall, the TechniSat group of companies employs 1,600 employees, of which approx. 1,000 are located in Germany.
