TechniSat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI best in test!

05.06.2009

“What Satellite & Digital TV”, the UK magazine for digital TV enthusiasts tested several HD PC Satellite Tuners in their June 2009 issue. TechniSat´s SkyStar USB 2 HD CI emerged as the group test winner. SkyStar USB 2 HD CI is the complete digital TV solution for notebooks and PCs, offering a compelling and feature-rich solution for the enjoyment of both standard and high-definition programming with the advantage of Pay TV capability.

SkyStar USB 2 HD CI conforms to both DVB-S and DVB-S2 standards facilitating reception of radio, SDTV and HDTV services via satellite with the added feature of a CI slot for Pay TV services.

In common with all the TechniSat SkyStar products, the SkyStar USB 2 HD CI offers TechniSat´s timeshift feature, PVR functionality utilizing the PC or notebook hard disk, EPG and Videotext. The SkyStar USB 2 HD CI also supports DiSEqC 1.0.

Noteworthy comments from “What Satellite & Digital TV” included the short time needed for a full channel scan of Astra 2 as well as the high picture quality even in full-screen mode. Furthermore, the magazine was impressed with the features of the beta version of the DVBViewer TE2 software - the final version of DVB Viewer TE 2 is now available for download from TechniSat´s website.

In addition to this award SkyStar USB 2 HD CI has already been best in test in Satvision 08/2008 and is the “Hardware Top Product” from Hardware.net.
