The long and successful business relationship between TechniSat Digital Sp.Z.o.o. and Vectra S.A. will go on!
The collaboration between TechniSat Digital Sp.z.o.o. and VECTRA S.A. will continue in 2008. TechniSat Digital Sp.z.o.o. located in Oberniki Slaskie near Wroclaw is one of the affiliates of TechniSat Digital S.A. located in Betzdorf, Luxembourg. Both companies are part of the TechniSat Group headquartered based in Daun, Germany. Due to the positive development on the Polish market, TechniSat decided to have a production plant on-site to utilize the good market situation and to provide customers not only with high quality products in time, but with short delivery times and -ways as well. The production of Set-Top-Boxes for satellite, cable and terrestrial signals has started in 2006 and is one of the latest in Poland. In the meantime the number of employees comes up to nearly 300.
The capacity of the Factory is around 4000 Set-Top-Boxes per day. At the beginning of 2008 TechniSat has decided to extend the product range of TechniSat Digital Sp.z.o.o. about their PC-products. Together with the production site TechniSat Digital Sp.z.o.o. has established a Sales Department which is responsible for customers on the local market. The Sales Team is beside the retail market also effective in business with local Operators: Especially with the 2nd largest cable operator in Poland - VECTRA S.A..
TechniSat has a good and successful relationship with VECTRA S.A. since 2006 which will be enhanced in the future.
VECTRA S.A. with a market share of around 15% is the 2nd largest cable operator in Poland and also effective as a triple play service provider – offering the access to TV, Internet and Telephone.
The data referring to cable operators in Poland, published by the “Polish Chamber of Electronic Communication” show that VECTRA has around 657.000 subscribers and operates in 137 cities (source: PIKE, March 2008). Nearly 83% do still use Analogue transmission whereas 110.000 users have already switched to Digital where HD technology is available. This kind of transmission is meanwhile offered in several dozen cities.
Since the beginning of the cooperation in 2006 TechniSat supplied Vectra S.A. with nearly 100.000 receivers. TechniSat could convince with advanced, innovate and high quality products. Due to the production in Poland TechniSat has compared to other vendors the advantage to delivery with short notice, in-time and in the exact quantity required by VECTRA´s local offices.
All cable receivers produced for VECTRA comply with strict requirements concerning the safety level set by CONAX.
Devices sold by TechniSat are “Made in Europe” and characterized by high quality as well as the latest know-how which is confirmed by numerously outstanding test results.
This is one of the reasons VECTRA has decided to strengthen the cooperation with TechniSat Digital Sp.z.o.o. for the future. In addition to that TechniSat could in April 2008 come up with an innovative pairing function which is included in the Set-Top-Boxes produced for VECTRA. With this TechniSat is already at the latest standard regarding the actual CONAX safety level requirements. This is one more reason for the long-lasting cooperation between TechniSat and VECTRA.
