Test the SkyStar HD at the CeBIT show
The SkyStar HD TV card allows you to receive TV broadcasts both in PAL and in HDTV quality. If you would like to enjoy brilliant images in HDTV quality on your PC, then you should come and visit the TechniSat stand at CeBIT. Here you can try out and test the SkyStar HD by TechniSat, and experience the multitude of options this card has to offer. Viewing television on your PC is suddenly an experience: razor-sharp contours, rich colours and an enormous depth of field. Naturally, the SkyStar HD also supports AC 3 sound formats, so that you can receive those HDTV broadcasts with both brilliant images and impressive surround sound.
The SkyStar HD comes equipped with the „TechniSat TV-Center“ reception software. Naturally, visitors to the TechniSat stand at CeBit can try out all the attractive features of this service on a PC there. For instance, the TechniSat TV-Center includes a Favourites list with 100 memory slots for TV and radio programmes. The TV and radio slots can be moved around in accordance with your preference, so that you can bring your favourite programmes to the top of the list. In addition, the software provides a Personal Video Recorder function. Programmes can be pre-programmed, and recorded using the SkyStar HD. Furthermore, the TechniSat TV-Center provides a Timeshift function and a sleep timer.
The many functions of the „TechniSat TV-Center“ are not all that can be tested in action on a PC, the same applies to the video editing software (EVE v2) supplied as part of the package. This software allows you to eliminate bothersome advertising breaks, and to include special effects. And of course the video editing software allows you to transfer the material to a DVD.
In addition to the EVE v2 software and the „TechniSat TV-Center“, the SkyStar HD also comes complete with a programme information services (previews 5 days in advance for TV programmes) as well as with a videotext function. InternetRadio 1 by TechniSat – receive more than 1000 radio stations anywhere in your house – by wireless connection
TechniSat is proud to present the InternetRadio 1 – experience the diversity of radio programmes available at the CeBIT show. This is the ideal product for fans of Internet radio stations – receive more than 1000 radio stations anywhere in your home, without any need to switch on a PC, using wireless connections.
The InternetRadio 1 must simply be connected to the mains power supply and to the DSL modem. It is equipped with integrated but detachable loudspeakers, also has W-LAN on board, and brings far more than 1000 pre-selected radio stations from 33 countries all around the world into your home. Naturally, TechniSat has also considered the listener’s convenience, and has sorted stations by country and genre, making it easy to find and select your desired favourite programmes.
Configuration and operation of the radio is extremely simple and easily understood by anyone! Simply connect the InternetRadio 1 to an existing router via LAN or WLAN. Plug & Play operation ensures the unit is immediately ready to go – without any complicated installation. All necessary settings are made via the remote control unit supplied.
The InternetRadio 1 features a classy design that is worth a second look! It is available in various trendy colours: black/silver, black/titanium of black/platinum. Depending on the information provided, the blue LCD display will show various station-related details( such as station and programme name, song title, mono or stereo sound, transmission rate in kbps, Internet address).
Your favourite stations can be stored on one of a total of ten station slots. Programme lists are updated automatically, this is a free special added value service provided by TechniSat. TechniSat Radio Bouquet
Unencrypted reception provided via the InternetRadio 1!
In addition to the multitude of radio stations that can be received, the owner of a TechniSat InternetRadio 1 has the pleasure of being able to receive the TechniSat Radio Bouquet. The TechniSat Radio Bouquet is usually only available via satellite at ASTRA 19,2° East in a Conax-encrypted format, at a reasonable price of only 20 € per annum, but using the InternetRadio 1 you may listen to the programmes of the TechniSat Radio Bouquet free of charge for a limited period of time. The TechniSat Radio Bouquet provides 15 niche radio channels, covering a wide variety of genres. Examples include an outstanding selection of classical music on Euroklassik 1, Radio Viola and STAR*SAT Klassik, as well as current hits from the charts on STAR*SAT Hit-Express and Radio Swiss Pop. Other genres are also provided, such as jazz (e.g. Radio Swiss Jazz or Jazztime), oldies (STAR*SAT Gold) and country (STAR*SAT Country) music – and all without advertising breaks!
Music anywhere in your home
Another impressive feature is that the unit supports the UPnP standard (Universal Plug & Play), allowing you to control appliances from different manufacturers via the network. Given suitable cable connections in your home, you can source music files in ASX, M3U, MP3, WAV or WAX format from your computer, and distribute them via your home network to the InternetRadio 1. That can be a real benefit in many cases, for instance if you wish to listen to your MP3 collection anywhere, without being restrained as to the room. All that is required to use this feature is that you need to install a software programme, downloadable free of charge from the Internet, in order run your own small home web radio.

Trendy LCD television sets „Made in Germany“ at the CeBIT show
The HD-Vision series by TechniSat represents a special technical achievement in the field of LCD television sets. Outstanding digital reception technology, combined with high-quality LCD technology, provides excellent viewing pleasure. TechniSat will be presenting a comprehensive selection from the range pf more than 40 different models available at CeBIT.
Special mention should be made of the HD-Vision sets featuring an integrated hard drive. All of the benefits and advantages of the HD-Vision series, paired with a digital storage medium: the personal video recorder, a symbiosis of computer technology and home electronics.
World first: HD-Vision! An LCD set for all transmission paths
The unique TechniSat multi-tuner concept ensures that the HD-Vision series continues to stand alone in the world. All models of the HD-Vision series feature an integrated multi-reception tuner that covers all the transmission paths of high-quality digital television, including digital satellite reception, digital and analogue cable television as well as DVB-T (digital terrestrial). In addition, the HD-Vision is equipped with a DigitalDirekt feature. This means that the integrated multi-reception tuner ensures the digital input signals (from satellite, cable or terrestrial sources) are not subjected to any digital/analogue conversion on their path to the viewing panel. The result: the best possible picture quality even when receiving PAL signals.
Another world first feature ist hat TechniSat has equipped all HD-Vision sets with the CONAX decoding system via software update. In fact, TechniSat ist he only manufacturer of television sets on the market that is in a position to update the entire firmware of the television set via software update per satellite, cable and terrestrial reception.
Every possible connection option you can think of
In terms of connections, the HD-Vision provides two HDMI interfaces, a USB interface, VGA connection, digital optical and electrical audio outputs. The HD-Vision is also unique in the provision it makes fort he reception of Pay TV and Pay Radio. In addition, the connection panel includes a Common- Interface slot and a Smartcard reader. The Smartcard reader can be used to receive subscriber TV and radio programmes that use the CONAX encryption system. This means that the HD-Vision, together with its Smartcard reader, is equipped to receive the TechniSat Radio Bouquet (15 CONAX-encrypted digital radio niche programmes broadcast via ASTRA 19,2° East, at an annual charge starting from 20,00 Euros per year), the channels of RADIOROPA Hörbuch (a total of 4 CONAX-encrypted audio book channels broadcast via ASTRA 19,2° East from as little as 2,50 Euros for 30 days) and MTV unlimited (a total of 6 CONAX-encrypted MTV pay channels via satellite ASTRA 19,2º East, for as little as 3,50 Euros for 30 days).
Stiftung Warentest „GOOD“
In the December 2006 issue of its review magazine „test“, the renowned Stiftung Warentest consumer testing organisation in Germany rated the HD-Vision 32, developed and produced in Germany, at its highest level on this test: “Good” in the category of „LCD television sets with a diagonal screen size of 80 to 94 cm“. In the sub-category „all-round features“ the TechniSat HD-Vision was even rated as „very good“.
