TechniSat presents the InternetRadio 1 at Consumer Electronics Trade Show IFA

22.08.2007

Visitors of the international broadcast show (IFA) taking place in Berlin from August 31 to September 5, 2007 will be able to marvel at TechniSat’s new 4,000 channel Internet radio receiver exhibited at the TechniSat stand in hall 1.1, booth 211.

InternetRadio 1 allows users to receive more than 4,000 Internet radio programs from 37 countries anywhere in the home without having to use a PC or a cable. InternetRadio 1 features a stylish design and is optionally available in the trendy colour combinations black-silver, black-titanium, black-platinum and black-red. It is equipped with a shimmering-blue LCD display and integrated, but detachable loudspeakers which provide an excellent sound quality.

Ideal connectivity
InternetRadio 1 has been designed for ideal connectivity, allowing the system to be connected to the home stereo system. Another impressive feature is the support of the UPnP standard (universal plug & play) for the manufacturer-neutral triggering of equipment via the network. With suitable cabling in place, ASX, M3U, MP3, WAV or WAX music files can easily be transmitted to InternetRadio 1 via the home network. This is an extremely useful feature for people trying to listen to the personal MP3 collection in any room of the home.

Foolproof operation
The device can easily be configured and operated! InternetRadio 1 can simply be connected to an existing router via LAN or WLAN. Thanks to its plug & play feature, the device is immediately ready for operation – without any complex installation. Settings are made via the supplied remote control. All radio stations can be comfortably arranged according to country or music type. Additional information such as title and artist of the currently played are displayed on the large display of InternetRadio 1.

Professionally managed program list and best program service
The InternetRadio 1 program list is editorially managed by TechniSat and includes the world`s best Internet radio stations. As a special customer service, TechniSat regularly offers free program list updates to all users of InternetRadio 1. The program list update includes the recording of new programs as well as updates for existing program parameters. Users may opt to perform the program list update either automatically or manually.

About TechniSat:
The TechniSat group develops and produces – in Germany – home electronics products as well as information technology products. Exceptional technical quality, as well as contemporary design are the hallmarks of TechniSat products: digital set-top boxes (also suitable for PREMIERE), TV sets, PC cards, car radios and navigation systems, all Made in Germany. TechniSat is the market leader in Germany in the field of digital receivers for direct satellite reception, in the application of digital programmes in cable networks, as well as in the new field of digital terrestrial television (DVB-T). In addition, the TechniSat-Radio Bouquet and RADIOROPA Audio book channels provided by TechniSat make up a CONAX-encrypted Pay-Radio package that currently offers 19 high-quality radio niche channels via satellite (ASTRA 19,2° East).

The TechniSat group of companies has also established a production facility in Oborniki, close to Wraclaw in Poland since the autumn of 2006. This facility produces items exclusively for the markets in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and also for Portugal. The establishment of the TechniSat facility in Poland has enabled us to get back production demand from the Far East to a member country of the EU, a benefit also for other companies. We see this as a contribution to the concept of Made in Europe. Made in Germany is a seal of approval for products made in Germany, Made in Europe is for products made in EU member states.
