TechniSat presents the MultyRadio at the IFA 2007

17.08.2007

TechniSat Digital GmbH presents its first DRM-Radio, the MultyRadio, at this year?s IFA 2007 broadcast show in Berlin.

As the name of the new TechniSat DRM-Radio already indicates, the new MultyRadio is truly a multitalented product.
The TechniSat MultyRadio is able to receive and reproduce all the usual radio broadcasting frequency ranges in the FM, medium wave, short wave and long wave bands, as well as the digital radio services such as DAB and DRM.

Digital Radio Mondiale

In this context, the letters DRM stand for Digital Radio Mondiale (world-wide digital radio broadcasting). This refers to digital radio broadcasting in the long, medium and shortwave bands. DRM is implemented as an open standard, and is the logical consequence of the digitalisation of other broadcasting pathways, such as DAB, DVB-S and DVB-T, in the long, medium and shortwave bands.

Ease of operation

The design of the MultyRadio has taken a leaf out of the book of the high-quality InternetRadio 1, presenting extremely user-friendly ease of operation with an easy-to-read glowing blue LCD display, as well as the high-quality loudspeakers that ensure the best possible sound quality. Sound volume can be adjusted via the remote control unit supplied.

Timeshift

If, for example, you are listening to a radio programme, and are interrupted by a telephone call, you can stop the programme simply by pressing the ?Pause? key on the remote control. The programme will now be recorded in the background, and you can resume listening, from the point at which you stopped the programme, when you have completed the telephone call.

MultyRadio is the multi-reception unit all radio enthusiasts have been waiting for.
