Last year, the company successfully launched its first mobile navigation system. Now the ?TS MobilNavigator 5500? is available, the latest version of a portable navigation assistant.
System has many talents
The ?Portable Navigation Assistant (PNA)? not only guides you reliably to your designated destination, its compact and attractive design also houses an MP3 player, a movie player and a digital photo album.
Additional features at no extra cost
The integrated movie player allows you to view movies in MP4, WMV, AVI and DIVX format while you are on the move. The music player is the ideal travelling companion, as it is simplicity itself to transfer your favourite music in MP3 or WMA format from your PC to the navigation unit ? and off you go with musical entertainment tailored to your personal taste! The picture viewer, which is also installed, allows you to view photographs in JPG format while travelling, or simply to store your favourite photos, and have them with you at all times. These additional features come as standard, with no extra cost involved.
Always on the right path ? in Germany and Western Europe
The navigation system provides simple, intuitive operation via a 3,5? TFT LCD touch screen, and is based on the navigation software by ND Destinator as well as on the map data provided by Navteq. It is no longer necessary to activate the software (whether online or by SMS), you can immediately navigate within the map currently in use! In addition, the system provides a choice of calculating either the quickest or the shortest route, routes can be calculated including several stops along the way, and numerous points of interest are also available and indicated. While you are travelling, you can select whether the display should indicate the distance remaining, the estimated time remaining to your destination, the speed at which you are travelling, the road you are currently on as well as the current time.
The mobile travelling companion can be supplied with map material for either Germany or for Western Europe, and you can select either a 256 MB resp. a. 512 MB SD/MMC card, map material includes easy-to-read 2-D or 3-D visuals that are accompanied by clear spoken instructions in ten different languages.

When using a navigation system, you keep your eye on the route you are travelling, and are supported by verbal instructions, allowing you to concentrate on the traffic without distractions. In fact, this improved safety alone makes it worthwhile investing in a navigation system.
