TechniSat launches new DAB+ digital radios

The new TechniSat DigitRadio 200, DigitRadio 300 and DigitRadio 500 digital radios make the future of radio available today.

Digital radio is gaining in popularity because it provides a whole host of advantages over FM. DAB+ digital radio enables users to enjoy additional digital services such as programme information, images and much more alongside the programme being broadcast. Digital radio also guarantees listening enjoyment in top digital quality.

DigitRadio 200: Portables DAB+ digital radio

The DigitRadio 200 provides both stationary and mobile DAB+ and FM reception. With its elegant design and superb sound quality as well as keys for favourite digital and FM stations, the DigitRadio 200 has everything you need for DAB+ digital radio reception. The integral lithium-polymer (LiPo) battery in the DigitRadio 200 provides up to ten hours of mobile operation. The radio can also be used as a stationary unit using the supplied 12V power supply.

DigitRadio 300: Superb sound and deluxe features

TechniSat has also launched a deluxe DAB+ digital radio which provides superb sound for stationary DAB+ and FM reception in the form of the DigitRadio 300. In addition to top class sounds thanks to its equalizer and integral bass reflex tube, the DigitRadio 300 also features sleep timer and radio alarm functions. Its four-line backlit LCD display shows the station name and a whole range of additional information. The DigitRadio 300 can easily be connected to a home audio system via its integral Line Out output.

DigitRadio 500: Top class DAB+ digital radio with a timeless design

The DigitRadio 500 from TechniSat is a top class DAB+ digital radio for DAB+, DAB, FM and internet radio as well as for streaming files on a home network. The 3.5” colour display with touchscreen functionality shows the station name and additional information as well as the extra DAB+ services which make DAB+ so incredibly user-friendly.

The DigitRadio 500 can also be connected to the internet using the WLAN and LAN interface. This provides listeners with internet radio stations in addition to DAB+, DAB and FM stations. An extending slide mechanism also provides access to an iPod/iPhone docking station. Access to a UPnP server is also possible using LAN or WLAN in a UPnP home network. With a stereo output of 30 W, two integral BMR sound transducers with a very large bandwidth and dispersion characteristics, which remain extremely uniform over all frequencies, provide perfect digital radio quality.

The new TechniSat digital radios will be available from retailers at the end of July 2012.
