TechniSat IFA TV Highlights 2012

29.08.2012

From 31st August to 5th September 2012, the TechniSat Digital GmbH presents its product innovations at the IFA in Berlin. TechniSat introduces new Smart-TVs and digital TVs series to a wide audience consisting of media, economics, politics, professionals and end-consumers.

TechniVision ISIO - the Smart-TV for more flexibility
The new TechniVision ISIO, with its extensive IP functionality, permits access to interactive services, media libraries, free browsing on the Internet, and the use of video-on-demand offerings. Moreover, the TechniVision ISIO provides the ISIO Live! portal, which lets you call up and use numerous services like software updates and up-to-date programme lists, but also add-on applications like widgets.

You can expand the capabilities of the TechniVision ISIO to include an integrated digital video recorder function (DVRready) by using an external USB memory device. A USB stick or hard drive can be easily connected, using the USB 2.0 interface provided. This interface allows you to record and play digital TV and radio programmes easily and conveniently. In addition, the TechniVision ISIO supports time-shift television. Broadcasts in progress can be frozen at any point and can then be viewed again from that point at a later point in time – also in HD quality, of course.

Tareo - the practical digital TV for any living style
The new Tareo comes equipped with an integrated HDTV Multituner as a standard feature, permitting the reception of digital TV and radio programmes via digital satellite, digital cable, and terrestrial paths without any need for an additional receiver. The new Tareo series symbolizes a multitude of applications and uses and is available in the following screen sizes: 22, 26, 32 and 40 inches.

All televisions of the Tareo series come equipped with a multitude of connection options, arranged logically and accessibly on the side of and below the screen. The connections and interfaces allow you to connect and operate various devices such as Blu-ray players, external memory media, video cameras, game consoles, sound systems, headphones, and many other items of equipment. The CI+ interface of the Tareo can be used to gain access to Pay-TV.

TechniLine ISIO – the first-class Smart-TV for your home
The new TechniLine ISIO cannot only receive digital TV and radio programmes via digital satellite in both SD and HD quality but also access IP-based interactive services and Internet contents, such as media libraries. You can browse freely on the Internet and also download Video-on Demand contents, for instance. Furthermore, the TechniLine ISIO can access TechniSat’s own ISIO Live! Portal. Via ISIO Live!, TechniSat provides numerous services to customers, such as software update or access to up-to-date programme lists.

As a true multimedia centre, this innovative Smart-TV can easily handle a variety of multimedia data such as digital pictures, music, and videos without being restricted to its integrated digital video recorder or data media and devices connected through USB. Its integrated Ethernet interface and complete support for Universal Plug and Play (UPnP including DLNA) makes it possible to connect the digital television into any home network. There, the TV can be used via UPnP as a multimedia server for the home network, or it can play back pictures, music, or videos released on the home network as a client.
