Multi-reception tuner The innovative multi-reception tuner combines all reception paths in a single unit. There is no need for an additional receiver box, no matter which reception path you choose. More specifically, the unit provides the following reception options, so that you do not have to decide on any single reception path. - Digital television and radio via satellite (DVB-S) - Digital television and radio via cable (DVB-C) - Digital television and radio via terrestrial antenna (DVB-T) - Analogue television and radio reception via cable - Analogue television reception via terrestrial antenna - Analogue radio reception via terrestrial antenna (FM) Ready for Pay-TV with Common Interface (CI) and a CONAX card reader The CI slot as well as the Smartcard reader ensure the HD-Vision is also ready to receive Pay-TV programmes. Common Interface The Common Interface provides the facility of receiving Pay-TV programmes, and guarantees that the HD-Vision will in future be equipped for any new decoding systems and compression standards that may be introduced. CONAX card reader The Smartcard reader utilises the integrated CONAX decoding system. Wide range of connection options The multitude of connection options provided by the HD-Vision caters for every need. It is child’s play to connect the LCD television set to a wide range of appliances. For example, you can use the two digital high-speed multimedia connections (HDMI) to transmit digital audio and video signals without data compression, and thus without loss of quality. Each of the two HDMI inputs is capable of handling a data flow of up to 5 Gbit/s, thus ensuring excellent sound and picture reproduction. You can also use the HDMI or the VGA connection to utilise the HD-Vision as a high-quality monitor to display computer applications and presentations. Ready for Pay-TV (CI slot, Smartcard reader) CI slot (Common Interface) Use the integrated CI slot in conjunction with a suitable CI module and a valid Smartcard to utilise your HD-Vision for direct reception of Pay-TV and Pay-Radio channels. Smartcard reader Use the Smartcard reader in conjunction with the appropriate Smartcard to receive CONAX-encrypted television and radio programmes. In order to ensure optimum picture quality, only specially selected panels – so-called best panels – are used. The initial installation of your HD-Vision thus becomes child’s play. "SiehFern INFO" (programme information service) The user-friendly electronic programme information service "SiehFern INFO" (SFI) is your editorially enhanced programme guide – conveniently displayed on screen. "SiehFern INFO" can be conveniently used via the remote control, and provides detailed programme information on dozens of channels for up to seven days in advance. ("SiehFern INFO" is available via satellite, cable and terrestrial antenna). ISIPRO (programme list manager) The ISIPRO programme list manager keeps the programme lists of your HD-Vision up to date at all times. ISIPRO provides free information via satellite on new programmes that have been added, and old programmes that have been moved or discontinued, it will even sort programmes automatically to pre-selected slots automatically, if you so wish. (ISIPRO is available via satellite). TechniMatic (automatic software update) The automatic software update ensures your HD-Vision is always technically up to date. Optimisations of individual functions, and even new functions or decoding systems can be downloaded onto your television set automatically using the software update function. Operation User-friendly on-screen menu (OSD) in 14 languages The easy-to-use OSD menu ensures operating the HD-Vision is child’s play. Simple instructions keyed in via the remote control allow you to change video and audio settings, to work on the programme list, to scan for programmes, and to execute many more useful functions. Programme slot combination A single programme list for everything: Combine all programmes in a single programme list, independently of the signal source. You can then use the remote control in conjunction with this programme list to access digital satellite programmes, digital and analogue cable programmes as well as digital terrestrial television programmes (DVB-T). Naturally, you can also allocate a slot in the programme list to external signal sources such as HDMI or SCART. The picture setting "Optimal 16:9" ensures not only that 16:9 broadcasts will be shown in their true screen-filling format, but also that reproduction of 4:3 broadcasts will be optimised. Superb contrast All the variants of the HD-Vision range provide extremely high contrast values, ensuring pictures are brilliant with tremendous depth of field and sharpness, providing exceptional detail and true black reproduction. The HD-Vision has a contrast ratio of 1200:1 (dynamic up to 5000:1). Automatic adjustment of picture brightness Sensors ensure the brightness of the HD-Vision is automatically adjusted to suit the ambient light conditions in the viewing room. The automatic adjustment of picture brightness thus ensures the picture is harmonious, and is suited for the ambient light conditions. Manual contrast enhancement (additional optimisation of contrast) Independently of the excellent static and dynamic contrast values provided, the HD-Vision also allows you to adjust contrast manually. You can conveniently alter the contrast values of your HD-Vision using the remote control. Edge smoothing (enhancing picture sharpness) The edge smoothing function of the HD-Vision ensures the edges of pictures are smoothed, and unwanted artefacts minimised. This further enhances the sharpness of the picture, creating an even more harmonious picture reproduction. Additional settings With appropriate software updates installed, you have additional options for changing the settings with regard to picture properties. These additional settings can be made in the menu, and affect the values for colour temperature, contrast enhancement and picture sharpness. This means you can gain an additional dimension in brilliance of colours, richness of detail and picture intensity. Audio An excellent sound system is provided.
